Since graduating from Sydney College of the Arts and Victorian College of the Arts, Lisa Mimmocchi has been based between Australia and Italy designing for live performance, community cultural development projects, and public events. She spent a considerable time in touring and wardrobe management working for companies such as Ensemble theatre, Sydney Festival and Cirque du Soleil. She continues to be inspired by her early involvement in experimental, devised theatre with PACT and Performance Space.
Recent design credits include Dropped directed by Anthony Skuse,
Float and Costume design for City of Sydney's 2015 and 2016 Mardi Gras parade entry, The Pride (Darlinhurst Theatre), Freak Winds (Old Fitz), Lola's Keg Night (Merrigong Theatre Co) and Games in the Backyard (ATYP Independent). She also designed costumes for T.Issue (Liquid Skin Dance Co), S-27 (Griffin Independent) and Songs for the Fallen which has been touring since 2012.
In 2014 she was nominated for a Sydney Theatre Award for Best Independent Set Design for Howie The Rookie directed by Toby Schmitz.
